Field story

Quiet in the group chat until the crew tags it

October 12, 2026 · 1 min read

One field team runs every job through WhatsApp groups: crews, sites, schedules, documents, all of it. Their agent sits in those groups and reads everything, so it always has the context of the job. But it only speaks when a team member tags it.

How it answers

Ask it for a spec sheet, a document, or a detail buried earlier in the thread, and it answers in the same group where it was asked, with the file attached. Direct messages are limited to an approved list of people.

What it sounds like

An illustrative exchange. Real team threads stay private.

Crew lead: @agent we're starting the west side today. which drawing has the measurements?

Agent: Page 2 of the spec that went around Tuesday. Here it is. (west-side-spec.pdf)

Crew lead: and we move to the east side tomorrow right?

Agent: Not tomorrow. The schedule posted Monday has the east side on Thursday, after the inspection. Tomorrow is the rest of the west side.

What changed

Nobody on the crew changed how they work or installed anything new. The agent joined the conversation the team was already having.

Want an agent in your team's group chat? Tell us how your team works and we will tell you what we would build.

Ready when you are.

Book the assessment and we come back with what we would automate first, and what we would leave alone. Or start an agent yourself: a 14 day trial, then $50 a month from day 15, and cancel before day 15 if it is not for you.
