AI office assistant

Otto

The office assistant who knows who is in before you walk through the door.

An AI office assistant from Idle Work. Otto runs your time clock, your staff rota and your renewal dates, and tells you what needs you, over the chat app you already use.

Otto is $50 a month.

Your office brief

Who is in, who is late, and what is coming due.

Every morning Otto sends the office brief: who punched in, who did not, what needs fixing before payroll and which dates are close. This is a morning at Sterling & Co., an office we made up to show it.

OttoSterling & Co. · 8:30 AM
Good morning. 6 of 7 are in. Dana is off today, approved time off.
Jordan punched in at 9:14, 14 minutes late. That is the second time this week.
Priya did not punch out yesterday. She is down from 9:02 with no end. Set it to 5:30, her usual?
Timesheets close Friday. 2 missing punches to fix before then.
The office insurance renews November 28. That is 60 days out.
Yes, 5:30.
Done: Priya, yesterday, 9:02 to 5:30. The original punch is kept, and the change is on the timesheet with your name.

What Otto handles

The office admin that eats the first hour of every day.

The time clock

Staff punch in on a fingerprint or PIN clock. No cards, no face scans.

Late and missing

Who is late, who is out and who forgot to punch out, the minute it happens.

Timesheets

The weekly timesheet, built from the punches, with every fix and who made it.

The payroll file

Hours in a file your payroll company or accountant can take. Otto never pays anyone.

Rota and time off

Who is due in, who is off, and planned hours against actual hours.

Office dates

Lease, licences and insurance, before they come due.

Staff ask Otto

Each person can ask about their own hours, and only their own.

The clock itself

If the clock goes quiet during office hours, you hear about it.

Four levels

It starts by watching.

  1. Step 1

    Watch

It reads the clock and the rota and tells you what it sees. It changes nothing.

  2. Step 2

    Suggest

It tells you what it would fix and why, and leaves the call to you.

  3. Step 3

    Act with your OK

It gets the fix ready and waits. Nothing changes until you say yes.

  4. Step 4

    Act within your limits

Inside the limits you set, it gets on with the job and tells you what it did.

You raise each one yourself, one at a time, in the app. Otto can suggest it is ready. It can never raise its own.

A punch fix always needs your OK, at every level, and the original punch is never deleted.

Setup

It works with a clock you buy once.

No card readers, no face scanners, no monthly fee for the clock.

  • Run payroll or pay anyone
  • Show one person someone else's hours
  • Change your office rules on its own
