About
We build AI employees for small businesses, and we answer for them.
Idle Work builds, runs and supports AI agents that do real work inside a business: in the chat apps the team already uses, connected to the systems the work already runs on.
Why we started
Why Idle Work exists
When AI agents took off, a wave of companies started selling AI to small businesses. Our founder, Sukhsimran Singh, held back at first. An IT background made the security risks in what was being sold hard to ignore. Most offers were simple automations with an AI label, priced at $5,000 to $15,000 up front with a monthly fee on top.
So we built the Idle Work agent instead: one that can be put to work on almost anything, with proper security guardrails, at a price a small business can carry. It is not limited to one app. It links to the tools you already use and lives where your team already works.
How we work
What we hold ourselves to
We run it, not you.
Setup, connections and monitoring are part of the monthly price, and when something breaks it pages us.
Security before features.
Every agent starts with the least access it needs and does more only when you say so.
It lives where you work.
WhatsApp, Slack, Teams, email or text: no new app for your team to learn.
You stay in charge.
You decide what the agent can see and do, and you can change that at any time.
The team
The people behind the agents
Idle Work is an engineering-led team based in New York. The people who build your agent are the people who run it: we set it up, connect it to your systems, watch it around the clock and fix it when something breaks. You work with us directly, not through a reseller or a ticket queue.
