Document and drawing review that cites its source

The useful part is not that it reads the document. It is that it tells you where it got the answer, and says nothing when it cannot.

What the agent does

  • Answer questions with a page level citation, and refuse to answer when it cannot cite
  • Read scanned documents that have no text layer
  • Check a document for what is actually wrong with it, including the layout
  • Find where drawings and specification contradict each other, with both sides quoted
  • Ingest a full drawing set and check sheets against the set's own index for revision mismatches
  • Check a deliverable for what is actually wrong with it, including the layout
  • Check that what arrived is actually the right document

It cites, or it declines

Every answer comes with a page level citation. When it cannot point at the page the answer came from, it refuses to answer rather than producing something plausible. An answer you cannot check is worse than no answer, because you will act on it.

Scans included

Documents with no text layer are read, so the drawing someone photographed and emailed is in scope rather than being the one file the system quietly skips.

Contradictions, with both sides quoted

Where a drawing and a specification disagree, it shows you both sides rather than picking one. Revision mismatches are checked against the set's own index, so a sheet that was replaced and never swapped in gets caught.

Layout counts as wrong

A document check includes what is wrong with the layout, not only the words. A correct number in the wrong box is still a document you cannot send.

It refuses to answer when it cannot cite the page the answer came from. Declining is the designed behaviour, not a failure.
